The Fallen Outdoors. The Fallen Outdoors mission is to organize outdoor adventures for Veterans Past and Present. Their aim is to connect veterans with like-minded individuals along with teaching them a skill and passion they can continue for a life time.

We've scheduled a "Soft" Grand Opening for Veteran's Day, 11 November, 2023.
The Post Lounge will remain open during the remodel except for very limited times.

Independence Day Parade
Twenty members of Post 42 participated in the Cartersville 4th of July Parade. Participants included Sons of the American Legion, Legion Auxillary and Legion Members. The event included lots of planning, vehicle preparation and decorating. A fun-filled patriotic time was had by all. Look for future opportunities to participate in this and other fun events. Pictures of Legion vehicles and members were even published in Thursday's Daily Tribune News.

The post has begun a Veterans Visitation program with local assisted living facilities. This visitation program is about caring for veterans and ensuring they are NOT forgotten. Our next visit will be the Fite Living Center on the first Saturday of each month at 1000. For additional information or to sign up, please contact the Post Commander at deetsfamily@att.net
The American Legion is selling Challenge coins highlighting the American Legion's national 2023 theme "Be The One" for $25 each. Proceeds from the sale of these coins will benefit Veterans sufferring PTSD. See the Commander or Patrick Woodall to get your coin. Be the first on the block to get yours.
